There are jobs… and then there are challenges.
Delivering a 9 × 3.5 m module into the garden next to the castle in Ctěnice near Prague was, without exaggeration, one of the most demanding operations we have ever carried out.
The approach? Across wetland that had to be compacted. Across a water ford. Across a meadow. And waiting for the right weather so the ground would freeze and let us drive in.
Several crane companies told us it was impossible — or quoted astronomical prices. In the end, we joined forces with a firm called Strach (Czech for “Fear”). The name startled us at first, but they turned out to be absolute professionals.
We started the operation at dawn. After preparing the route, detailed planning, and weeks of consultation, the impossible became possible. In 3 hours the module was in place.
